Columbus Cruise Center Wismar makes an international appearance
Columbus Cruise Center Wismar (CCCW), created in 2012 from a joint venture of Columbus Cruise Center Bremerhaven GmbH and Seehafen Wismar GmbH, will make it's debut as an exhibitor at Cruise Shipping Miami, the world's largest cruise fair, from 11thto 14thMarch 2013. At the joint booth „Destination Germany“ CCCW will inform trade visitors about the cruise locations on the German North and Baltic Sea coast together with the other German cruise ports of Kiel, Lübeck, Rostock-Warnemünde, Hamburg and Bremerhaven. Together with Columbus Cruise Center Bremerhaven, CCCW will also be involved in organizing a German evening event, the so-called „German Ports Night“, for the trade visitors from international cruise shipping companies.
Already in January this year the company set up a work group on cruise tourism together with external representatives of the Hanseatic city of Wismar and from the regional business community. It's aim is the joint marketing of Wismar as a cruise destination. Apart from working out ideas for itineraries for outings to Wismar and beyond, even to Berlin, it is developing additional marketing activities and concepts for services to cruise passengers. "This work group is a way for private businesses in the Hanseatic city to demonstrate that they are willing to commit themselves to this topic", comments Michael Kremp, managing director of CCCW.
Since 1 March 2013 the Columbus Cruise Centers in Wismar and Bremerhaven are also members of Cruise Europe, the international marketing cooperation that will also be promoting its European member ports as cruise destinations at Cruise Shipping Miami.
