CCCW becomes Cruise Europe member

02/26/2013 –

On March 1st, 2013, the Columbus Cruise Center in Bremerhaven and
the Columbus Cruise Center in Wismar will both become members of
Cruise Europe, an international marketing cooperation which promotes
the interests of cruise terminals. Cruise Europe covers a network of
more than 100 cruise ports across Europe and is recognised by experts
as one of the most traditional and most important associations in the
field. Jens Skrede, Managing Director of Cruise Europe, is very much
looking forward to welcoming the German ports. "Bremerhaven and
Wismar now offer Cruise Europe access to two German harbours and
thus reinforce our presence in a further major European market. Both
cruise centers can now provide first-class professional service to cruise
operators worldwide." Representatives of Cruise Europe visited
Bremerhaven and Wismar in November last year and assured the ports
of great potential for growth in acquiring new cruise destinations.

For Cruise Europe, this does not only mean the addition of two German
member ports; it also means the addition of two major cruise destination
zones – the North Sea and the Baltic. "We hope that this new
membership will add to the numerous marketing synergies that we have
already been able to initiate with the Columbus Cruise Center of
Bremerhaven", comments Michael Kremp, managing director of CCCW.
The advertising activities carried out by CCCW for the Wismar location
are supported by regular specialist events and promotional trips of
Cruise Europe.

In May this year, Cruise Europe will give a specialist lecture on the
experience of other cruise ports regarding shore excursions at the
meeting of the cruise tourism work group called into being in January,
which consists of various representatives of the business community of
the Hanseatic City of Wismar. Together with the other German cruise
ports, CCCW will be represented at the joint booth "Destination
Germany" at the Miami Cruise Shipping, an international cruise fair.
Cruise Europe will also be promoting its European member ports at that
