Wismar seaport, the second largest maritime logistics site in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, presents itself with a newly created logo since the start of the month. The entire corporate identity of the port company has been redesigned in the past weeks and months. The core of the new overall concept for a coherent corporate design is the company logo in two shades of blue with the new slogan 'We make it portable'. The slogan shows the seaport as a strong partner with the ability to satisfy complex requirements and to take them to the desired destination.
'Based on the old logo which accompanied the port through many years of successful development, the fresh and forward-looking new brand is to symbolize above all the things that Wismar seaport stands for today, more than ever: modernity, mobility, flexibility and efficiency', Michael Kremp, managing director of Seehafen Wismar GmbH, explains about the recent re-launch in the external presentation of the port which boasts a rich 800 year history.
The new logo features three angles of equal size resembling arrowheads which symbolize the combination of import, export and the location. The two blue arrows pointing down form the letter W as the typographical emblem of the Wismar location and, at the same time, a strong wave representing the dynamism of a vibrant all-purpose port as a trade hub in the southern Baltic Sea region with transport connections to all quarters of the globe.
